A medicated formulation for effective, long-lasting relief of flaking and itching caused by dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It is substantive to hair and scalp and remains active between shampooing.
Active ingredient: 2% Pyrithione Zinc.
Shake well before using. Wet hair thoroughly, apply a liberal amount of DHS Zinc Shampoo and massage into a rich lather. Allow lather to remain on scalp for several minutes. Rinse hair well and repeat application. For best results use at least twice weekly or as directed by your physician.
Active Ingredient: Pyrithione Zinc 2%
Other Ingredients: Purified Water, TEA Lauryl Sulfate, PEG-8 Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamide DEA, Cocamide MEA, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Fragrance, FD&C Yellow #6.

Have been using it for a month. So far so good. Can`t live a day without it - itching comes right back if I skip it. Feel like that`s not good ... it could mean it`s helping, but not curing.
Cons: My hair color is close to black, but it seems turning into lighter color. Next time, I think I will try DHS tar shampoo.

I have used tar-medical types of shampoo for years. Once I could no longer find the exact product I had used for years, I turned to on-line searching and stumbled across this product and have used it now for several months. I really like it and plan on using it now and forever. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is in need of a special shampoo that goes the extra mile.
