A medicated formulation for effective, long-lasting relief of flaking and itching caused by dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It is substantive to hair and scalp and remains active between shampooing.
Active ingredient: 2% Pyrithione Zinc.
Shake well before using. Wet hair thoroughly, apply a liberal amount of DHS Zinc Shampoo and massage into a rich lather. Allow lather to remain on scalp for several minutes. Rinse hair well and repeat application. For best results use at least twice weekly or as directed by your physician.
Active Ingredient: Pyrithione Zinc 2%
Other Ingredients: Purified Water, TEA Lauryl Sulfate, PEG-8 Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamide DEA, Cocamide MEA, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Fragrance, FD&C Yellow #6.

i need a good medicated shampoo. a doctor looked at it, said it looks ok for now. but i can`t stand the itching, get`s scabby like after scratching some.

The product was suggested by my Doctor and a sample given me to try. It helps!!!
Pros: The Zinc shampoo has kept my dandroff/psorias in check. I have to use it at least 3 times a week but it does help.
Cons: No cons!!!

Not as good as Head and Shoulders 2%, which has been discontinued.
Pros: Container and aroma.
Cons: Dries the hair more than Head and Shoulders 2%.

Please tell me if you make DHS ZINC shampoo without yellow#6.It stains my white hair yellow. It works for my scalp condition and is gentler on my hair than most medicated shampoos. Yellow hair is brash looking . It looks like I have tried to go blond and messed up. Thank you
